Social Story for Students
Please read this story with your children to help them prepare for the next period of learning from home. Thank you to our speech therapy team and in particular Laura for preparing this social story.
For more information on communication support to access the curriculum, please make contact with the school and we will direct you to our speech team.
Working Bee Volunteer Thank you
Yarrabah School would like to thank all families and staff who generously gave up their Saturday morning to support the working bee efforts.
We had a fantastic turn-up. Twenty-five eager and willing people volunteered their time to help clear the back area in preparation for the gardening zone developments.
Parents, students and staff all pitched in to help load a skip full of unwanted and excess materials from this zone.
We now have a much safer and clearer area to begin planning our future horticulture space.
Once again, I would like to sincerely thank you all for those efforts and support. It has made a huge difference.
Kind Regards,
Matthew Harris

We wish to extend our appreciation to Anies and can't wait to paint the creations made during the session.

Special Visitors
This week we had some police officers visit our school to speak about staying safe on the bus when coming to and from school.
The kids really enjoyed hearing about how all our school rules can be followed on the bus. The police officers were very impressed at how well all the students listened and asked some great questions, they said they will come back someday soon with their police car for us to have a look at..... and maybe even turn on the sirens!!!!!!!
