Leadership Report
Welcoming back everyone to an exciting Term 3!
I hope the start of the term has been a smooth and successful one for all families and you are all in good health and high spirits. As we commence Term 3, it gives me immense pleasure to welcome you back to school and to the second half of the year. The past two weeks have been a busy start and we are once again abuzz with energy and excitement, as we prepare for another term filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences.
As we begin this new term, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all parents and guardians for entrusting us with the education and nurturing of your children. Our dedicated team of educators and support staff are committed to providing a safe, inspiring, and inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
At Marion Primary School, we believe in fostering a holistic approach to education that goes stretches beyond the classroom. We strive to create an environment where students can explore their passions, develop critical thinking skills, and build character traits that will serve them well in all contexts. Our goal is to empower students to become confident, compassionate, and responsible global citizens who are ready to face the challenges of an ever-changing world.
This term we have so many wonderful additional extra-curricular opportunities taking place for our students. These include:
- Footsteps Dance sessions - each Friday afternoon of Term 3
- Science Week - Week 4
- Camp Quality Puppet visit - Wednesday 16th August (Week 4)
- Book Week, including our Book Week parade at Assembly - Week 5
- Australian Dance Theatre Company visit - Thursday 24th August and Friday 25th August (Week 5)
- Swimming Week (Rec-Year 5) - Week 6
- Father's Day Stalls Fundraiser - Thursday 31st August (Week 6)
- Special Choir Assembly - Friday 8th September (Week 7)
- Choir Concert - Friday 22nd September (Week 9)
I also wish to take this opportunity to remind parents we are committed to maintaining a strong partnership between the school and our parents. Although COVID-19 appears a thing of the past, it is important to understand it is still very real and we need to make sure we all play our part in keeping one another safe. The Department for Education's expectations and safety protocols have not changed. Our priority remains the health and safety of our entire school community. We will continue to follow strict hygiene protocols and adapt to any changing circumstances as needed. Rest assured, we are prepared to provide a safe and nurturing environment that enables students to focus without unnecessary worry.
Finally, I am eager to witness the remarkable progress and accomplishments that await our students in Term 3. Thank you for your unwavering support, and I look forward to another fantastic term with each of you.
