Hello everyone!
We have now officially hit the mid point of term three. I can't believe how fast the term is flying. I hope everyone is well and staying healthy.
Parent/Guardian Opinion Survey
Just a reminder that all parents were sent a link to the current Parent/Guardian survey via email. This is your opportunity to participate in the DE survey to find out what parents/ guardians think of our wonderful school. The Parent/Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. We encourage all families to participate in this survey. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.
If you would like to help with completing a survey then please check your email.
Capital Works Update
Last week, I was involved in a meeting to begin selecting furniture for the new office area, which is exciting. I attend fortnightly meetings for updates and hope the momentum continues so that the build will finish on time.
Book Week
Next week is Book Week! Another chance for our school to dress up and have fun will be on Monday with the annual Book Week parade. Please come along to assembly if you would like to look at the school in costume and on parade. The week will also be celebrated with a host of activities across the week within classrooms.
School Production time!
I hope that everyone is getting excited for the biannual school production on Tuesday 12 September. Mrs Lee and Delphine have been putting up on social media some incredible promo pictures of our year 6’s to inspire you all and to save that date.
This event is the culmination of a term’s worth of work for our students in performing arts and the production is the celebration of all the hard work. Apart from having fun, the student’s performance on the night forms a part of their assessment. Thank you, Mrs Lee, for all your work so far. We can’t wait to see, Thank you for the Music!
Prep Enrolment for 2024
This year there is a new process in place for enrolling in primary schools. The deadlines finished a couple of weeks ago and we sent out offers last week. Unfortunately for us, we have discovered kinder parents have put in 4 – 5 enrolments each in different schools when they were only supposed to be one. After sending out offers to new families, we now have vacancies in our prep classroom.
If you know of any families that are still looking for a primary school position in 2024 then please send them to our office and website asap as we do have vacancies that I would absolutely like filled. I really appreciate any help and assistance from all of you as you know how fantastic our school is.
Stay warm and well everyone!
Until next time……
Principal
