Year 1 Poetry Writing 

In our classrooms we are learning all about poetry writing. One of our pieces was about things you might find in a wizard, mermaid, or Minion’s pocket. We all had some very creative ideas!

We also read a story called, ‘Colour Me’ by Ezekiel Kwaymullina. This book gave us all inspiration to write our own colour poems. Check out the wonderful adjectives we used.

It was lovely that we had so many parents and carers come along to our Student Led Conferences in week 3. We know our year 1 students were so proud when they got to show off their brilliant poetry writing.
