Kingston Libraries annual creative writing competition, Story Lines is under way.

This is a way to involve the children/students in a community initiative, to let their imaginations go, to have a voice and to possibly win a prize.

Winners are published on the library website, in our Short Story dispensers as well as published into a book that can be found in our libraries and the National Library of Australia.

Students can write a short story or poem up to 500 words about anything they like, but it must be G-rated.

 

There are 4 age categories 5-7 years, 8-10 years, 11-13 years & 14-16 years.

Prizes are Westfield vouchers – First prize $200, second prize $100 and third prize $50.

There are three prizes per age category.

 

Entries open Monday 10 July and close Sunday 17 September. Winners will be announced via our website and our Socials (Facebook and Instagram) from 4pm Friday 27 October. 

 

 

BOOK WEEK

Mark the date for Book Week at St. Louis – Monday 21 August – Friday 25th August. There will be many exciting things happening during this week including a Book Fair!
