Good afternoon families,
The students all enjoyed their casual clothes day yesterday and we raised $492 for Brain cancer by all the students wearing a beanie and making a gold coin donation.
This week all the students participated in a Wellbeing incursion called Backflip Against Bullying. The teachers have then been talking to their classes about being upstanders and not bystanders.
The Year 1 went on an excursion to Imax and the Year 2 went on an excursion to Twisted Science. These excursions will support this term's Science focus.

Road Safety
I received another email again today from locals about a parent breaking the road rules. Please adhere to the road rules and keep our students safe and our neighbours happy.
Dear Principal, I would like to raise my concerns again about the driving and road safety exhibited by the parents of children attending St Louis de Montfort PS. This morning at 8.35am, I was driving behind a silver/grey Mazda ( number plate supplied) who stopped at the stop sign on Kubis Ave into Inlet St corner - right on the centre line and let her young child out of the car to cross the road from the left side of Kubis Ave. This is an illegal situation and put the child at risk. If the driver had moved into Inlet St and parked in the correct position(where there was a carpark) the child would not be at such risk. How can we teach our children the road rules when the parents/guardians cannot abide by them.
I sincerely hope these actions do not result in catastrophic outcomes for our future population. Thank you for highlighting the road safety rules with parents again.
Enjoy your weekend
