As we continue to foster a positive and nurturing learning environment here at Berwick Chase PS, I wanted to take a moment to highlight the power of restorative conversations in strengthening relationships, particularly in the aftermath of issues arising in the playground.

At The Chase, we understand that conflicts and misunderstandings can occur among students during their playtime. These incidents provide valuable opportunities for growth and learning. Instead of merely applying punitive measures, we have adopted a restorative approach to conflict resolution, emphasizing communication and empathy.

Restorative conversations aim to bring together all parties involved in a conflict to discuss the impact of their actions and work towards resolution and healing. As parents and guardians, your role is vital in reinforcing the lessons learned through restorative conversations. Encouraging open communication at home and helping your children understand the importance of empathy and understanding will further reinforce these principles.
