Coral 2 in Term 2!

Over Term 2 we have had many great learning opportunities! We have hunted for clues in Literacy to learn about inferencing, hunted for eggs left by the Science Easter Bunny, looked at a VERY long snake skin, we had a publishing party for our Narrative writing and even went on an excursion to the Melbourne Museum! At the Melbourne Museum, we visited many different exhibits including the Mini Mega Model Exhibit, the Melbourne Story Exhibit, the Dinosaur walk and Bugs Alive! We saw many dinosaur bones, Phar Lap, an amazing bug laboratory, so many bugs, planets, several amazing rocks and our First Peoples exhibit! We loved seeing all the exhibits and even received a compliment from the museum on how well behaved and respectful we were (yay!) We can’t wait to go on some more excursions.

In Coral 2 it is never boring as we love to have a dance break and bring in some things from home to show all our friends! After raising money to help with the floods in NSW our very own Amira brought back a snake skin to show us! What a surprise we had that day! We also got a special surprise from the Easter Bunny when they hid some eggs in our community. They were so hard to find that we only found 1! Then we got out our magnifying glasses and studied the crime scene. Along the way we found clues to make inferences for our Literacy lesson. We loved solving the mystery and learned that Fred the dog had been a bit naughty! Lastly, we loved being able to invite some parents into our space for our publishing party. We can’t wait to have more events where we can welcome the wider school community into our space. We are looking forward to more events coming in Term 3 and 4 including camp and, fingers crossed, the Colour Run! Stay tuned to find out what we get up to next.
