Coral 1’s Semester 1 Reflection

Coral 1 Community had many amazing opportunities throughout Term 1 and 2. One of the greatest memories that Coral 1 has is the excursion that we went to at the Melbourne Museum, for some people it was their first excursion ever! At the Melbourne Museum, we visited many different exhibits. In the Mini Mega Model Exhibit there was a dining room and a camera that let us watch people moving around. We visited the Melbourne Story Exhibit where there was an old cinema and an old house that was dark and mysterious. We also visited the Dinosaur Exhibit where we saw bones which was pretty cool! We saw different types of Dinosaurs like the Brachiosaurus and the Triceratops. We saw bugs, planets and our First Peoples which made the whole experience really fun! On the way there and back everyone sang the ‘Wheels on the Bus’ song and played Eye Spy which was the best! 

Coral 1 also had the opportunity to do a publishing party! We invited friends and teachers, and even the school Principal, Linda! We had a very good time where we shared our Narrative pieces and got to read some of our friends’ stories too. Everyone enjoyed the party and especially loved the balloons that the teachers blew up in the morning before it started. Another great memory that we share as a community is that we had the chance to invite parents to come and read with their child. Parents got to learn how we use our ‘Think Marks’. It was an awesome session that we will remember forever!
