A Trip to the Melbourne Museum

On 25th May 2022, Opal 1 and 2 went to the Melbourne Museum for an excursion. The exhibitions we saw were Mini Mega Model, Melbourne Story, Bugs Alive and Dinosaur Walk. But the exhibition we want to speak about is the First People’s Exhibition that linked into our Inquiry topic.

The First People’s Exhibition was about how the Aboriginal people lived in Australia and their culture. This links to our Inquiry Topic of Diversity. We learnt about their history and how Captain Cook stole their land and they couldn’t fight back. We also learned about their culture and how we have changed over time. Another thing we learned was about their land and how there are many many many different tribes that speak different languages.

We had the best time at the Melbourne Museum!
