Wellbeing Hub

We have had a busy start to the year in the Wellbeing Hub!

Breakfast club has been a hit and it is always great to see everyone coming along and grabbing some fruit and milk to start the day.

Julia and Porsh have been busy running our ‘Social Thinking’ Program and the children have been working on these skills.

  • Thinking with your eyes
  • Thinking thoughts and feeling feelings
  • Body in the group
  • The group plan

Our School Wide Positive Behaviour Student Team have been looking over some surveys and working on a project around our school rule ‘Safe’. Watch out for more on this project next term! Their leadership and enthusiasm is amazing! Well done Team!

Our Friendly Frog Shop has also been very popular this term and it is fantastic to see so many children trading badges because they have shown the school rules – Ready to Learn, Safe and Respectful.

We have been very lucky to have a therapy dog visit our school and work with some children this term! His name is Victor! He has taught the group about emotions, worries and personal strengths. One little strategy we all loved learning about when we have a worry we can - Catch it, Check it, Change it! We have loved working with Victor and Mini and hope they can come back and work with some more children soon!

Our goal as a Wellbeing Team and Student Team is a focus on Mindfulness. Watch out at assemblies for some more ideas and information on how to be mindful in your day.
