Our College’s first Pathways Expo was held on Thursday July 14th from 6pm to 8pm. We welcomed students and their families to the stadium. Information sessions ran at set times to help students and their families understand the subject selections process for 2023. They were able to speak to staff from all Learning Areas about the subjects on offer to help make informed decisions about next year and pathways into the future.
Here we are all set up and ready for Thursday night's Careers & Pathways Expo. We also had our VCAL caravan out and were serving coffees and hot chocolates to warm the soul.

"I am currently teaching year 10 Law and Order and Humanities in year 7 fuse.
This is my first teaching role. Before I started, I studied a Bachelor of Commerce and then a Master of Teaching. I worked at the Cotton On distribution centre while I was studying.
I completed a university placement at Surf Coast for 7 weeks and my favourite part of it was the people. The kids I worked with were all a pleasure to teach and all the staff were extremely supportive. I'm really looking forward to working with all those people again."
"I am a Physical Education/English Teacher. However at Surf Coast, I have taught in the areas of Performing Arts and English.
I am a returning staff member who has been on Parental Leave for the last 3.5 years, living interstate and caring for my two children.
A lot has changed in the time I have been away. Therefore, I am looking forward to reacquainting myself with students, staff and the school."
"I am a currently a Maths Tutor. I did a Biomedical Science degree and then my Diploma of Education and have been working in a range of different schools since.
I’m very passionate about STEM Education, engaging and encouraging students in the middle years to take on the STEM subjects, especially girls.
I'm mostly looking forward to getting to know all the students and being part of the Surf Coast community."
