Run 4 Fun
Our School Run 4 Fun will be held on Friday the 29th of November.
The day’s focus is on fun and fitness with the added benefit of raising funds for our school. It is also a House Colours Dress Up Day, so start thinking about what you will wear to proudly show everyone which House you are in!
How Does My Child Fundraise?
Students have now received a Sponsorship Form with instructions on how to raise money and order prizes. Students obtain donations in cash using the Sponsorship Form together with online fundraising. Extra Sponsorship Forms are available at the office if needed.
Students who raise as little as $10 or more will receive an incentive prize for their efforts. But why not aim higher? You have the option to choose up to five prizes and this will set your fundraising goal. Family and friends are your greatest supporters, so ask them first for your support. You will reach your fundraising goal in no time.
Student Profile Page
Create a Student Profile Page at www.myprofilepage.com.au which is unique to you. There are also some great features like recording your sponsorships and selecting your prize goal.
You can also register for online fundraising. It’s the easiest way to help your child raise money and to reach your fundraising goal sooner.
WIN A SHARE OF $200,000 WORTH OF FREE SPONSORSHIP DONATIONS. Create a Student Profile Page at www.myprofilepage.com.au and enter your unique code found on page five of your Sponsorship Form to see if you’re an instant winner. Give your fundraising goal a kick start!
How to Order Prizes?
To reward your child for their efforts, they will receive incentive prizes based on the total amount of sponsorship dollars raised in cash, online, and if applicable, any FREE SPONSORSHIP DONATIONS won using the unique code on page five of the Sponsorship Form. You have two options to place your prize order:
1. Login or create a Student Profile Page at www.myprofilepage.com.au. Once the fundraiser has finished, click the ‘ORDER MY PRIZE’ button and then confirm your total amount raised and order your prize/s, OR
2. Complete the back page of the Sponsorship Form and return to the school.
Please note, all donations need to be finalised on or before Friday the 22nd of November. Prize orders need to be finalised by Friday the 29th of November. Student prizes will be delivered shortly after.

We would like to invite families to volunteer to help on the day! We are planning lots of ways to make the event fun and it would be great to have you involved. 10 Year Celebration
This year marks our 10th anniversary at Point Cook College. To celebrate this milestone, we will be creating a display of our highlights. We will also acknowledge our history at Point Cook Primary School on the RAAF Williams, Point Cook Base.
Families and members of the community will be invited to visit during the week of the 2nd - 6th of December to view the display and take part in a tour of our College. Times will be advertised closer to the date through Compass and our College Facebook page.
Community Service Opportunities for PCC Families
At PCC, we encourage our students to be global citizens and think of others in the community. We have a number of opportunities coming up which families may like to support. We hope that you are able to join us in the spirit of giving to support others in our community. Not only will you be helping someone else, but giving to others can also have a positive impact on your own mental health. Please note that all of these opportunities are voluntary.
- One of our Year 3/4 students, Matilda Brennan, is taking part in The Toy Run!
The Toy Run raises funds and collects toys and non-perishable food for Bethany Family Services (The annual Giving Tree Appeal), Geelong Hospital Children’s Ward, Cottage by the Sea and The Sanctuary Counselling Service. Matilda will be riding (motorbike) in the cause with her grandparents on Sunday the 8th of December.
Matilda is collecting donations of non-perishable food items or new toys (preferably not soft toys) to help those in need have a Merry Christmas. Please do not wrap the items. Donations can be taken to the LRC each morning, or left at the office for Matilda, until Friday the 6th of December. Thank you for your support.
- Our Green Gang Environmental Leaders are collecting gold coin donations on Monday the 25th of November, to support the Port Macquarie Animal Hospital, who are looking after some of the animals injured in the devastating fires. Our Green Gang Leaders will come around to classrooms on the day and also have a collection point at the office. All donations will be gratefully appreciated.
- We have an ongoing partnership with the Point Cook Lions Club. They generously donate food items to our Breakfast Club and they recently donated funds to support our Therapy Dog program. We are supporting them with their Christmas Hamper Scamper by being a community collection point. They require donations of non-perishable food items and toiletries so that they can make hampers to support local families in need for Christmas. From Monday the 9th of December, we will be accepting donations at our office. Thank you for your support.
- Our male staff members are once again taking part in Movember to raise awareness and funds to support men’s health. You can donate to their fundraising page at - https://au.movember.com/team/2240629
Subway
The final two Subway lunch order dates for this year are:
* Friday the 29th of November
This date is also our Run 4 Fun Day and ordering is now open!
* Friday the 13th of December
-Please note that this date is also the Year 7 End of Year Celebration Excursion, and students will not be at school to have a Subway lunch on this day. Families who have already ordered will receive a refund and the order will be cancelled by Subway. We apologise for any inconvenience.
-This Subway lunch is also on the same day as the Prep and Year 3/4 End of Year Celebrations. The students will be at school, however, due to their celebrations including food, they may not require a Subway lunch order. Please wait for further information closer to the date before placing an order.
If you have not ordered before, please go to www.subsforyou.com to set up your account. When you are prompted to enter your child’s teacher, please enter their year level instead. (E.g. Year 1/2)
We would like to acknowledge and thank the Wyndham Subway Group for their support, as they donate $1 from every order back to our school!
Second Hand Uniform Stall
The last Second Hand Uniform Stall for this year will be on Wednesday the 4th of December. The stall will be open from 8.15am - 9am and 2.30pm - 3pm.
Thank you to the families who have sent in donations. If you child is in Year 9 or you are moving to another school next year, please consider donating your school uniform items to our stall. The money raised is used to support our families in need. Donations can be left at our office.
Thank you for your support.
Walk & Wheel Wednesday
It has been great to see more students and their families actively travelling to school now that the weather is improving. We have also noticed an increased number of younger students riding to school, which is fantastic! Please remember that if your child rides a bike, scooter or skateboard then they must wear a helmet. We would also like to remind students and families to please walk your bike or scooter once you enter the school grounds, instead of riding, to help keep everyone safe.
