Principal's News

Dear Parents, Carers and Community Members,

As we hit the midway mark of Term 4, we are in the midst of planning for 2020.

We have had the opportunity to meet our new Prep students as they have engaged in transition and have plans and processes in place to ensure all students at the college are provided with a supportive transition to their next stage of learning.

We are currently finalising our college model (with the emphasis being on the smallest class sizes we can afford and a commitment to full utilisation of space to ensure no class will be placed in a Learning Neighbourhoods), staff selection, our class lists and our program budgets for the 2020 school year.

If you have a child due to commence school next year, please contact the office as soon as possible.

We have very few staff leaving at the end of this year.  Farewells will be highlighted in our next newsletter.  Our student numbers are fairly stable for next year.  Our current projected 2020 enrolment is 1556.

Have you noticed how great the wetland is beginning to look.  A specialist wetland gardener has developed a management plan to unblock the drain and the manage the weeds.  We are keen to ensure the wetland is utilised as a teaching and learning resource in 2020.

The Canteen is coming!!!  H&H Canteens is well on the way to establishing the canteen so that it is ready to open in 2020.  They will be establishing an online ordering system and are promising tasty and healthy menus.  We are all really excited to have this great partnership lined up.

We have also ordered lockers for our secondary students.  These will be arriving within the next few weeks.

Point Cook College is fully committed to Child Safe.  Over the coming weeks we will be updating our website and ensuring all child safe documentation is accessible to families.  In the meantime please view the below link.
