EARN AND LEARN
Than you to all the families who participated in the Woolworths Earn and Learn program and provided us with stickers. We received our delivery of products yesterday. This year we have used our Earn and Learn stickers to purchase a range of games to be used in the Year 4 classrooms. The Year 4 students are super excited for a wet day timetable so they can start playing!
PARENT TEACHER COMMUNICATION
At the end of Term 3 we saw many parents attending Parent-Teacher interview sessions to discuss children’s progress. Communication between home and school and having a “team approach” is vitally important and hugely beneficial for your children’s learning.
It is important that communication between home and school is ongoing. Our teachers are very approachable and always aim to provide the best possible education for all of the children in their class. Teachers are more than willing to make themselves available to parents on a regular basis. As teachers are often very busy at the beginning of the day and often have meetings to attend after school it is always best to email teachers to organise a suitable time to meet.
We thank parents for their support of the teachers and the learning programs and for showing such a keen interest in your children’s learning at Wheelers Hill Primary School.
CADBURY FUNDRAISING DRIVE
Thank you to all Wheelers Hill families for your support of our Cadbury Fundraising Drive. The money raised from this fundraiser will go towards our new playground.
We appreciate and are very thankful to the families who have returned money so far. This fundraiser will finish next Friday 18th October and we kindly ask that all monies be returned to the School Office by this date. Please note all chocolates must be sold from each box - we cannot accept the return of half sold boxes of chocolates.
ICAS
Students enrolled in the ICAS competitions completed the testing period at the end of last term. ICAS will send out certificates in the next few weeks. Class teachers will hand out certificates for students who achieve Participation, Merit, and Credit awards. For Distinction and High Distinction certificates these will be handed out during School Assemblies. I will notify parents of the schedule for handing our certificates once we have received them.
