From the Principal

Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, Staff and Friends of St Norbert College

“I have chosen you from the world, says the Lord, so go and bear fruit that will last”.

This reference is taken from the Gospel acclamation from yesterday’s Mass, held on the Feast Day of St Luke. We know that Luke is an author of the Third Gospel and the Acts of the Apostles. I chose this reference on the occasion of the Graduation of our Year 12 students, with a number of events having been celebrated this week in their honour. The theme of our celebrations closely align with this acclamation as we too encourage our students to go forth from St Norbert College and live a life for good in the world.

I take this opportunity to reiterate a message from my address at our Graduation Assembly this morning in thanking the staff, parents and families, friends and fellow students who have played such an important role in helping our Year 12 students get to this point today. We hope that an education at St Norbert College is a privileged time for our students, filled with wonderful learning experiences in all aspects of their development and many highlights to remember.

One of the highlights of our College calendar takes place on Tuesday 30 October. The College Presentation Night held at the Perth Concert Hall is a wonderful occasion where we all have the opportunity to recognise and acknowledge the marvellous achievements and be entertained by the tremendous talents of our students. This is a compulsory event in the College calendar, so we look forward to seeing all families in attendance.

As we move towards the end of the year, some of our attention shifts towards planning for 2019 and much of this planning involves our expected student enrolments. It is important that parents who are considering withdrawing their children for the 2019 school year pay particular attention to this message.

In conclusion, I wish our Year 12 students and their families continued blessings and thank them for the wonderful contributions and for the positive chapter they, and their families, have written in the long and proud history of our school. I particularly acknowledge those families who finish their direct association with St Norbert College. I trust that your journey with the College has been a rewarding one.

I trust that the environment of preparation they have received at St Norbert College will leave them better equipped and truly “prepared for all good works”.

God Bless.

Mr S Harvey (Principal)
