SRC Elections

Student Representative Council Elections

On Wednesday 17 October, Year 8 and Year 10 students voted for their SRC representatives, coordinated by Mrs Smith and Miss Humphry. The direct participation of the Electoral Commission of Western Australia, which will count the votes according to national standards, has given students a great opportunity to experience the preferential voting system they have learnt in their Civics and Citizenship classes. The elections also proved an excellent opportunity for students to exercise their democratic right to vote and follow up on the values they learnt and celebrated on International Democracy Day held on 15 September.

On behalf of the College teaching body, I wish the 2019 Student Representative Council a successful year, upholding the best interest of their voters within the respect and embodiment of our College values.

"Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it." – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832).
