Seahorses

Year 1 students made tissue paper seahorses focusing on creating space in the background to make some creatures look like they are in front of others. This overlapping technique helps them to draw and paint more realistically and gain a sense of depth in their art.

Library Bags

This is the first time that a Year level has added to the art work on their library bag that were started in Year Prep, 2017. The students used the Habit of Mind: Using Past Knowledge to create the leaves on the trees. They overlapped some of the leaves to make some look in front and some look behind, as per the skill developed during the 'seahorse art'.

Well done to all the Grade One's on their first semester of Visual Arts, fabulous results.

If your child did not receive their art work to take home, it will probably be because it is being kept for the Art Show on Friday 19th & Saturday 20th October 2018.
