Assistant Principal

Luke Bennett

Acting Assistant Principal

I would like to say a big thank you to the Kingswood community for the messages of congratulations regarding my appointment as Acting Assistant Principal. I am relishing the new challenges in the role and look forward to implementing my knowledge and experience to assist in the continued growth of our school.

Leaders in Education

A key Kingswood value is ‘We are leaders in education’. This was demonstrated last week when Kingswood teachers, Miss Sheppard and Miss Dissegna, visited our partner school, Kingsley Park Primary. Verity and Karen led a Literacy Professional Learning session which was highly engaging and will assist Kingsley Park teachers in improving their Literacy teaching practice.

Baby Shower

Last week we held a Baby Shower Morning Tea for just a few of our teachers! Mrs Torcasio, Ms Morgan, Mrs Clemente, Ms Bennett and Mrs Rossiter (who brought her new son Harrison along) were all celebrated and given gifts on behalf of the staff.

We wish you all the best for your growing families.

Welcome Olivia Nesbitt & Kylie Crebbin

I would like to give a warm welcome to Olivia Nesbitt who will be teaching PE until the end of this Term and Kylie Crebbin who will be teaching 5S until the end of the school year.

Please vote for Kingswood!

Our Sustainability Team have submitted an idea to the Leader Local Grant Competition. We would like to build vertical gardens outside of each classroom at Kingswood. Each class will be responsible for planting crops which are linked to the science topic being studied in that year level.

We have been chosen as a finalist for the competition and now we need your help! Please go to the website and vote for our idea. You will need to create an account, each account holder has 10 votes to use. We encourage you to please give all 10 votes to Kingswood. The idea with the most, will win a grant to make their idea a reality.

We are encouraging our whole school community to please share this link with your family and friends so we can reach as many voters as possible. Voting closes today, Friday 8th June.

Division Cross Country

A huge congratulations to our Division Cross Country runners, Cooper (Year 5) and Raena (Year 4). On Wednesday 6th June, they competed at Cornish College, Cooper finished in 24th place and Raena finished in 3rd.

Raena will now progress onto Regionals. Well done!

Basketball Uniforms

The Kingswood Basketball team have just received their new reversible uniforms. On 20th June, our Year 6 students will be attending a basketball gala day and are now ready to proudly represent Kingswood in our school colours.
