NATIONAL eSmart WEEK   6 - 12th SEPTEMBER

As an eSmart school, we will to continue facilitate discussions with our students and wider community around what being safe online looks and sounds like. We are excited to be bringing everyone together for another National eSmart Week.  This year we're celebrating 'Responsible Action'.  By taking responsible action, we can demonstrate how we all keep kids safe online and offline.   There will be activities incorporated into your child's remote learning plans in the coming weeks.

THE GIFT OF GRATITUDE

Parents can help children acknowledge their gratitude – for home, family, friends, opportunities to learn, and hopefully, good health. The loss of ready access to these can be a powerful lesson in appreciating what perhaps was taken for granted before lockdown. Gratitude is increasingly recognised as a powerful factor in promoting resilience and wellbeing, in children and adults alike. Learning to pay regular attention to what we have, rather than focusing on what we do not have, can inoculate us from negativity and promote optimism.

During this quiet time, we have seen many families walking and bike-riding together. Parents may have noticed the benefits of a slower pace in the absence of all those after school activities: less stress in getting to activities, a more leisurely pace and perhaps a calmer household. This is a good time to take stock and reflect on the risks of returning to over-scheduling.                  -    an extract from The Parents website

So, what you be grateful for?

A huge thank you to all our parents.

PRAYER

Dear Lord,

I pray for the strength to treat

myself and others with love

and kindness.

I ask that Your Word guide me

and Your light fill me with hope.

Help me to have faith that you

are walking with me as I journey

through life.

I pray this in Jesus' name,

AMEN.
