FEDERATION UNIVERSITY – ADVANCE TO UNIVERSITY PROGRAM

Applications are now open for the Advance to University Program which is our Higher Education in VCE program that has been endorsed by the VCAA.

Students study a pair of University units during Year 12 and their results are incorporated into their ATAR as a 5th or 6th VCE pair would.

Fed Uni have a number of unit pairs available and successful completion will allow students to enter a Federation University Bachelor degree with credit for the completed units. Another benefit is that the Advance to University units are FREE, therefore reducing the cost of the student’s University degree.

Further information including the application form can be found at federation.edu.au/advance-to-university

If you are interested in this program, please contact Ms Leana Bailey, or Dr Janine Biggin to discuss further.

What is special consideration (SEAS)?

If there have been circumstances that have made it hard for you to do your best at study, you should consider putting in a special consideration application via VTAC’s Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS). SEAS is designed to make sure institutions get a sense of your full potential and it enables institutions to consider the circumstances you have experienced and their impact upon your studies when making selection decisions.

SEAS also allows institutions to identify applicants from under-represented groups when making selection decisions for some courses.

SEAS allows selection officers to grant special consideration for course entry to applicants so that you may be offered a place with a lower rank than otherwise required, but it does not exempt you from meeting the published institutional and course requirements.

Whether you are currently studying Year 12 or applying as an adult, you may be eligible for consideration.

For video guide, view our What is SEAS and how does it work? explainer video which also describes why each applicant should at least apply for Category 1.
