Learning an Instrument - a student's perspective....

This term I decided I wanted to learn an instrument and I chose clarinet, when I got to school I got a brand new clarinet still in the plastic and was taught how to put it together carefully. I was super excited and I had my first lesson in person, but then lockdown struck and from there I have had all my lessons online. However, it is still really fun and exciting learning clarinet and all the new songs. I really enjoy learning my instrument and I think others will too.

Outline of the voice program for Term 3

The singing students have been working towards developing their solo, group and ensemble songs in preparation for assessment and performance opportunities. They are also learning to sight sing using Solfa and read rhythms off the page. The students have explored vocal techniques that will assist in looking after their vocal health and help sing with more projection and confidence. I hope our fabulous students are able to perform for the school community very soon!
