Lockdown – by Zoe
I don’t want to
I just don’t
It’s hard to lift my hands and type
If I wait long enough
It will go
But it doesn’t.
It hangs around
Following me
Sitting in my mind
Silently
The stress is on my back
I don’t know how to get rid of it
It’s just there
Watching me.
Stalking me.
I don’t know why it is so heavy
Or so impossible
It’s a small thing
Like a stone in my shoe
Just the two of us
Alone
Untitled - By Ellie
Falling, falling, down and down
Sadness clouding my thoughts now
Through the darkness I hear your voice
Soft, gentle, calling for calm, the right choice
Slowly, slowly the dark subsides
As I stare into your light blue eyes
Feelings of rage and hatred led desire,
Dissolving like a candlelit fire.
my lungs still burning from envy and rage,
my breathing is shallow, my mind is a cage
your warm arms surround me, an inviting embrace
dispersing all my loathing and disgrace
Up and down my breathing falls,
Gently slowing as your voice calls
No longer fueled with raging fire,
My body calms with comforting tire
Your hand runs through my midnight hair,
Rough and firm but done with care
My eye releases one small tear,
A salty concoction of love and fear
The fear that one day you will leave me alone,
To drown in my sorrows and go on my own
A fear that you will not be here to comfort my doubts,
I close off the gates of these unpleasant routes
I cherish the moment and rest in your care,
And know that I will always be safe there

Time wasted or well spent?
Untited - By Caitlyn
Her wings shone over the pond
The flowers leant towards her wand
Everyone was fond of the little creature flying by
This fairy was quite mythical, but shy
Her pale skin shimmering in the sun
A dress of leaves and fun
Little tools of sticks and stones
The creatures sing all sorts of tones
Leering round the corner,
Was something nearing closer
Yellow eyes followed the fairy
Was it hunger or was he just scary?
Alone a meal awaited at the pond
Fairies tasted better blonde
But who was even he?
What was even he?
A furry monster in need of friendship,
He was called Henry of the Wrecked Ship
To approach without being scary?
He would never be liked by a fairy!
Loneliness sensed by the shy fairy,
She turned his diet to veg and dairy!
All the fairies were scared at first,
But now fairies embrace his curse
Although Henry’s family disapprove,
Now, the fairies just dance and groove
They sit on toadstools with flowers as hats,
A wolf now follows them round like a pack.
My poem Haiku - By Ayden
Dogs, smooth coat, dark eyes
They remain the top type of pet
Their strength is boundless
