NAPLAN and Curriculum

NAPLAN

 

NAPLAN tests skills such as reading, writing, spelling, grammar and maths. It is important to remember that NAPLAN tests are not pass/fail tests.

 

Teachers will ensure that children are familiar with the test formats and will provide appropriate support and guidance. If you have any questions about your child's preparation for NAPLAN, you are encouraged to make a time to speak with their teacher.

Friendly Schools Program

The Friendly Schools program aims to promote students’ social and emotional wellbeing. The program also aims to develop children’s social and emotional understandings and competencies, resilience, positive self-esteem and empathy. The program addresses the following skills:

  • Self –awareness
  • Self-management
  • Social awareness
  • Relationship skills
  • Social decision-making
