Units of Inquiry

The following is a list of Units of Inquiry to be studied this year.

Community, Remembrance and Celebrations (History) (Term 1) Children will explore the history of the local community, the local community now and things we remember from history. Plants in Action (Science) ( Term 2) As part of biological sciences, children will explore the life cycle of plants, germination and growth of a seedling.  Australia and Beyond (Geography)

(Term 3) Children will explore interconnections and identify and describe locations, including Australia’s neighboring countries. Melting Moments (Science) (Term 4) Children will explore how solids and liquids can change by adding or removing heat.  

Student of the Week Awards Student of the Week awards will be given out at assembly throughout the year. It is the school’s policy that from Year Three and up, parents and children are NOT informed they are receiving an award allowing children to receive a genuine surprise when their name is called out at assembly.
