Modelled Reading

Dear Parents,

Modelled Reading commenced this week with 32 readers and tutors working in our beautiful new library space.

Modelled reading is a researched based cross age tutoring technique that involves able readers working with students to help improve their reading accuracy, fluency and comprehension. It is a highly valuable program that has been running at SJV for a number of years with pleasing outcomes for many of our students.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents and students involved in this program.

To the parents: for allowing it to run so efficiently by helping students arrive at school by 8.30 in the morning.

To the students: for committing to this program and helping others in their learning. All staff are most appreciative of your support.
