Cambodian Day

DONATE TO EDUCATE

How amazing did the school look with the students and staff dressed in red, white and blue for Cambodian Day on Friday 14 October. That was just the beginning of the support and enthusiasm the school community showed in their generosity towards educating Cambodian children. The community raised $823 from the gold coin donations, reaching our target of being able to provide 10 Maths kits and 10 Health kits to Cambodian schools.

In addition, students have begun decorating the 125 health bags, which will be filled with toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap and health cards for Cambodian students. Due to an overwhelming response, we are currently organising additional bags, but most children will be able to complete their bag by the end of the week.

The staff have also donated generously through the purchasing of Cambodian scarves and donations to support the professional development of 2 Cambodian teachers.

We have been overwhelmed by the kind words from parents and staff, and the interest and enthusiasm from the students. We look forward to sharing our journey with the school community in 2017.

THANK YOU!
