Around The School
Hello Dolly and Kenny!
Our competition to name the twin lambs has come to an end. Julie Redzepi picked up the prize for suggesting the most popular names - Dolly and Kenny. The other 18 lambs on the School Farm will undoubtedly receive equally memorable names.
Casual Dress Day - Friday 19 June
On Friday 19 June, there will be a casual dress day across K-12. The theme in the Primary School is ‘Wear your Pyjamas’. The theme has been chosen to support National Pyjama day. This day is normally in July and is all about wearing your favourite pair of PJ's to help support kids in foster care.
In the Secondary School, their theme will be ‘Wear a Beanie’. More information will sent out in the last week.
All students are encouraged to bring along a gold coin donation on the day, with all funds raised across K-12 going to The Pyjama Foundation. They raise much-needed awareness and funds for children in foster care. With the money raised from our National Pyjama Day, you will be helping the Pyjama Foundation offer learning skills to more than 1000 children, fund educational resources and help provide stable, positive relationships.
In an effort to raise extra money, a group of our K-6 Leaders have organized a small raffle. They will be selling $1 tickets across the school on Wednesday, Friday of next week and Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the last week of the term.
- First Prize is 100 Chupa Chups
- Second Prize is 50 Chuppa Cupps
- Third Prize is 20 Chuppa Chupps
If you would like your child to purchase a raffle ticket or two to support the Pyjama Foundation, please send them with $1 on one of the days listed above. The raffle will be drawn on Friday 19 June.
