We recently received this from our local Salvation Army branch:

I am writing to you on behalf of Mildura and Red Cliffs Salvation Army. As you can understand, many people within the Sunraysia community are facing extreme hardships under COVID-19. We are working to make sure that no one in our community is left in need. This means continuing to provide support to people we have always assisted, as well as working with people who have never needed us before the devastating impact of this pandemic. 

It is our mission to live, love and fight for everyone in need and right now that need is now greater than ever.

At this time of year, we’d usually be out knocking on doors or raising crucial funds at local shopping centres for our Red Shield Appeal. This year, we need to do things differently and so our Appeal has moved to a digital platform.

We are asking the community of Mildura Christian College to support us and help us to raise the funds that enable our social programmes, such as support to families in crisis and homelessness services.
