From the Assistant Principal

Welcome Back to Term 4, it is so fantastic to have all the students back at school. They have settled really well and there is a great energy around the school. We are looking forward to fabulous and fun term of learning.

Book Week

Each year, schools and public libraries across Australia spend a week celebrating books, and Australian authors and illustrators. Teachers and librarians conduct activities relating to a theme to highlight the importance of reading. His year’s theme is 'Curious Creatures, Wild Minds'.

In 1946, the CBCA established annual book awards to promote children's books of high literary and artistic quality. These awards are now the most influential and highly respected in Australia.

At CRPS, this week we are most fortunate to have a ‘virtual visit’ from Roland Harvey, a famous Australian author and illustrator.

Year 6-7 Transition to Secondary Workshops

Transition to Secondary School Student Workshops will take place on Thursday 29th October 2020. The classroom sessions will be facilitated by Amanda Lecuade from Organising Students, the students will learn a range of tips and strategies in preparing for secondary school. There will also be a parent session/webinar online in the evening starting at 7pm sharp. There is a flyer on Compass with more information on how to register for this session.

School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS)

Due to the very unusual year we have had in 2020, the implementation of this initiative at the school has been postponed until 2021. We have participated in Professional Learning as an implementation and there has been some work completed behind the scenes however in terms of parent and student involvement and broader staff involvement this will begin in Term 1 2021.

Hats are back…

All students and staff must be wearing a broad brimmed or legionnaire style hat outside at recess and lunchtime and also during any other activities held outside during the school day.
