An Overview of our Learning

In the Visual Arts room the Foundation students have been busy working on finishing off their monsters. Students explored and practised variety of cutting techniques which they then used to create their monster collage. Below are some photos of their finished work!

Foundation students also completed line drawings of a city scape background which they will be using to create a collage inspired by the book “If the Dinosaurs Came Back.” 

The Level 1 and Level 2 classes took time to finish and present their bears wearing winter jumpers. They worked really hard, and their finished pieces of work were amazing. Below are some photos of the finished pieces of work. 

This week students have been looking at ‘tone’- what it is, and how it can be made with paint. They then created a snow globe which they needed to produce at least two different tones of blue by mixing various amounts of white and blue together. They then used these different tones of blue to create their snow globe background.
