An Overview of our Learning

We have a great couple of weeks in the Performing Arts room to finish off our Term Two learning.

The junior students finished performing their rhythmic compositions using percussion instruments and the senior students worked collaboratively to present improvised drama on varying scenarios surrounding ‘Life in Isolation’. It was fantastic to watch their creative imaginations fire up as they embraced the creative freedom of dramatic story telling. What impressed me the most was, that even in these challenging times, the students have founds ways to look for the silver lining and to find the humour. These are both important life skills.

Week 11 has been ‘Performance Week’ and the students have sung, danced, played instruments, told jokes, done magic tricks (some even via google classroom) and acted. We have cheered, laughed, cried (good tears), given standing ovations and generally just had fun in a creative and supportive space. You should be so proud of your children. They are so talented and brave….and very entertaining!

I want to thank you all for your support during Term Two. It has been a term like no other I have ever known. Thank you for engaging in my learning tasks or for just sending me messages of encouragement and gratitude. We have all done the best that we could have during these unprecedented times. We are not ‘all in the same boat’ bur rather we are all in ‘a boat’ and they all look very different. 

Congratulations on sailing through this storm and for putting the "US" in USPS.

Groove Foundations are back on-site from the start of Term Three!

We are pleased to announce that Music Tuition, through Groove Foundations and our other providers will be back on-site from the commencement of Term Three. 

For families with an existing music tuition enrolment, you will receive information directly from your music tutor.
