Assistant Principal's Report

Thank You

Firstly I would like to say a big thank you to all our students, parents and carers for your continued resilience and support throughout this year. I know remote and flexible learning has not always been easy, but through our collective efforts, our students have continued to make valuable progress in their learning.

Term 4 is important and our teachers will strive to deliver high-quality learning for everyone. Our focus for this term is on making sure that every student is supported in their wellbeing, learning and transition needs.

A Big Week

This week is a huge week for us all. We were so excited to hear the wonderful news that all of our students would be returning on Monday 12 October and have been counting down the days until we could see them all face-to-face! We do however understand that there will be mixed emotions from students (and parents!) as we all get used to being back at school. Teachers have planned for a ‘soft start’ approach over the next few weeks, which will include starting the school day from 8.45am with interactive activities in the classrooms to encourage and facilitate positive social interactions.

While we will be focusing on student learning – particularly in the areas of Literacy and Numeracy – social and emotional wellbeing will be at the forefront of our minds as we know that students cannot learn unless they feel safe and secure in their environment.

We are so happy to be able to welcome our students back and have our fingers and toes crossed that it will remain this way for all of term 4 (and beyond)!
