SACRAMENTS 2020:

All children who were due to make a Sacrament in 2020 will have the opportunity to celebrate their Sacrament in 2021. More details and information will follow early next year once more details are known about numbers and the types of celebrations we are allowed to have.

Father Gerry has asked that I remind you of the parish website which has fabulous articles, children’s activities and a Weekly Nourishmentlink. Click on the highlighted words and they should take you to the appropriate section. Also each week in the Family Page and Fun Worksheetssection of the website there are links to that weekend's Gospel activities. There are two gospel links: one for the juniors and one for the seniors. These activities can be downloaded and printed or just viewed. These worksheets will help the children understand the gospel message for that particular reading.

“Come on Victoria – let’s boost our immune”

Below is a Healthy Living Message from Jane O’Brien, whose daughters attended St Kevin’s Primary School a few years ago. This message is taken from the Weekly Newsletter section of the Weekly Nourishment tab on the St Kevin’s parish website.

COVID-19, is just the latest and sadly seems to be the most dangerous, of infections we are all dealing with in our modern times. Remember the term “prevention is the best cure”?

Our very own parishioner ‘Jane O’Brien’ is petitioning for just that – prevention.

Having a passion for a healthy life and boosting one's immune system to prevent illness,

Jane needs our help to convince the Victorian government to invest in a public health program that educates people about what they can do to boost their immune system – to in turn help reduce their risk of contracting Covid-19.

In a world where community is fearful, wouldn’t it be great to

help people feel empowered about their health

and in turn assist in keeping those around them healthy too.

Be a part of the solution and click on this link to sign the petition.

Sunday Gospel Reflection

During Term 4 each class at St Kevin’s School is allocated the gospel reading for the following weekend’s mass. In Religious Education lessons the gospel is read and discussed with the students to unpack its meaning and message. Then each class designs a poster which reflects their understanding of this gospel. The poster is displayed at church and on the parish website.

This week it was Middle C’s turn and here is their work which reflects the gospel for Sunday 18th October. Thanks Middle C :)
