Big Idea:
Lines of inquiry:
In 3/4A, we have been investigating fractions. This is a fantastic warmup game called “Race to a Whole”, where students create fractions to reach a whole as quickly as possible, counting by halves, thirds, quarters, fifths and sixths.
Getting some use out of our new, beautiful space in ¾. We have continued exploring text and identifying facts and opinions. We read about Zebras, picked apart the passage and organized our information.
During our Maths lessons, we have explored both fractions of a whole and fractions of a collection. We investigated the different flags from around the world and created our very own with many different colours. Students then identified the fractions while investigating equivalent fractions.
This week in 34D, students have been working on ways to develop strong characters for their narrative writing. Here we have Roda C and Diaz G and their fabulous creations in their Writers Notebook.
