Continued Support for ADRA
Last term Heritage College staff collected and donated non-perishable food staples to ADRA, the Adventist Development and Relief Agency. In Cardinia, ADRA have been supporting over 70 families with emergency food relief during the Coronavirus and current financial situation.
Our staff will continue collecting and donating food to the local ADRA service during Term 4, and we would love to invite our students and families to join in. The following items are staples and always needed:
- Tinned Tomatoes
- Tinned Tuna (plain and large tins preferable)
- UHT Milk
If you are able to do so, please consider adding one item to your weekly grocery list. You can drop off the items to either campus reception, and they will be delivered to ADRA each Friday.
Thank you to Miss Elyse Taylor for organising this great initiative.
Would you like some help with your homework? Would you like a professional to support you to catch up with work missed?
Heritage College has formed a partnership with Multicultural Youth Support Services Inc (MYSS) to establish a Homework club at the College. This partnership will target struggling students from all cultural backgrounds with a particular focus on African students. The Homework club will be totally online for Term 4 and starts next Monday Oct 12. Please find more details and enrolment forms below.
Mr Sonny Aiono
Dear Heritage Library Family,
Term 4 always whizzes past much quicker than we like. In preparation for the end of term your library team would like to announce that there will be no borrowing after Friday the 20th of November, 2020.
Please aim to return all library books by the 27th of November.
We would like to encourage all borrowers with unreturned books to look through their shelves at home for loaned books. Should you receive a text message from the school library advising your child has not returned a book, please feel free to email:
We will reply and provide you with detail on the title of the book, a picture of the cover and the cost of the book. If you are unable to find it we kindly ask that you send the cost amount and a note to the school reception in a small ziplock bag. Please ensure the note advises that the money is to cover the cost of a missing library book and include the students full name for our reference. This will allow us to continue to keep our library well stocked with great resources for all students.
If there are any students who believe their books are in the library - please encourage them to visit the library during lunch when staffed and request the librarian on duty to assist them to locate their book.
Thank you kindly
Your Library team.
OCP Build Feature in the News
Heritage College has once again been featured in the local paper. The new Officer Campus Primary build was highlighted in this week's Pakenham Gazette, with Mr Sonny Aiono, Mr Roger Sevenhuysen and the OCP School Captains promoting the upgrades.
On the Move
The carpark extension at Officer Campus is heading towards its completion, with the bitumen poured on Monday. Soon our new carpark will be ready to welcome many more parents and visitors.
