Canteen Closed

Canteen will no longer be operating for the time being. Please ensure your child/ren bring lunch and snacks with them to school each day.

CCTV In Use at Both Campuses

Effective this year, we now have CCTV cameras operating in all areas of our College, at both campuses and on our buses. We believe the safety of our students, staff, parents and facilities is of utmost importance and feel the addition of cameras at Officer (and NWS since prior to 2019) will be beneficial.

If you would like to read the policy, please go to the website:

Explore Officer Campus with a Virtual Tour

Due to the extended lockdowns affecting the shires of Casey and Cardinia, we have been unable to hold an on-campus Open Night event this year as per our normal schedule.

We have, however, developed a new addition to our website that offers a virtual experience of the Officer campus, from Early Learning right through to Secondary.

There are short introduction videos of some of the teaching staff, an interactive campus map and video showing the Officer campus at its very best.

While on-campus tours are still on hold, for now, prospective families can book into a Virtual Principals’ Tour, where they can ‘meet’ with Principal Mr Aiono and Heads of Campus Mrs Ellen Saunders (ELC), Mr Roger Sevenhuysen (Primary) and Head of Secondary (Mr Darren Martin). Our first Virtual Principals’ Tour was held on Thursday last week with a number of guests in attendance across all learning areas.

Take a look at the new Virtual Tour of Officer campus.

Community Engagement

Heritage College is SunSmart!

As the weather warms, Victoria's UV levels rise. Sun protection (hat, clothing, sunscreen) is recommended for UV levels 3 and above. During Terms 1 and 4 all Heritage College students are expected to wear sun hats.

If your child does not have a school hat, they will be required to sit in the shade during recess and lunch. We ask all parents to please ensure you provide a school hat for your child, with their name clearly labelled.

The Heritage College school hats and caps can be purchased from our uniform supplier Noone as a click and collect, with pick up from the college.

Due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Coronavirus, the School Banking program will remain on hold.

Second-Hand Uniform Shop at Officer Campus

Change to Opening Hours and Reminder

Earlier this year, the wonderful Mrs Kelly Beveridge who has been looking after our Second-Hand Uniform Shop at Officer Campus stepped into the role of Learning Assistant while Mrs Helen Limu is on maternity leave. Due to online learning and travel restrictions, this has not been an issue until the start of this term. With that in mind, and with the commencement of Term 4, please note that the opening hours of the Second-Hand Uniform Shop on the Officer Campus have been changed and will be in place for the duration of the rest of this year. Our friendly team at Reception will be glad to assist you with any enquires.

Term 4 Second-Hand Uniform Shop Opening Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30am til 4:00pm
  • Friday: 8:30am til 3:00pm

Reminder to Buy and Sell

Due to this year's unusual circumstances, perhaps like mine, your children have outgrown their in some cases brand new uniform items without having even worn them. The Second-Hand Uniform Shop at Officer Campus is happy to sell on consignment for you any uniform items that you no longer require. Additionally, bargains are to be found with some even brand new items available at second-hand prices. You are welcome to drop off items for consignment or ask our Reception staff what stock is on hand during business hours. Unfortunately, due to the current level of restrictions, browsing is not presently available.

Sibling Enrolments for Early Learning and Prep Years

As siblings of existing students are priority enrolments for both Early Learning and Prep, it is important that we have them allocated prior to the new year beginning. If your child turns 3 or 4 next year, you can submit your application for enrolment in Early Learning Centre on either campus for 2021 and beyond.

Simply download the application form, scan the documents and return via email.

Pathway to Prep

The Step into Prep program offers parents a pathway for children entering Prep the following year. Parent Information sessions are held and Orientation runs throughout Terms 3 and 4. Your child’s Prep enrolment is to be submitted by end Term 2 of the preceding Prep year.  Once your child is enrolled in Prep, there is no need to re-enrol as the enrolment is automatically retained each year until graduation.

Please call 03 9796 0100 or contact me directly to discuss your child’s enrolment for next year by email:

Year 7 and 10 Immunisations

With the return to on-campus learning in Term 4, Cardinia Shire Council has reactivated the free 'Secondary School Vaccine Program'. Both our Year 7s and Year 10s are provided with this opportunity for free in line with the National and Victorian Immunisation Programs. The date for the immunisations is Thursday the 12th of November, commencing from 9:15am.

Families of Year 7 and Year 10 students received their 'Secondary School Vaccine Program Consent Card' earlier in the year. If the consent card has already been returned, there is nothing further that needs to be done. Should another consent card be required, please visit our Reception staff at our Officer Campus.
