Remote and Online Learning takes off at St. Anthony's

Dear parents,

It is so hard to express how much we miss being able to gather together as a community and celebrate our week at Assembly. It is a part of our week that we will never take for granted again! I will treasure our Celebrations of Learning into the future because I know how important these gatherings are to build relationships, acknowledge people, see faces and feel the wonderful feeling that is being together. As we continue our learning journey apart, please know that we are all still here and connected to you just in a different way.

I would like to thank you all for joining with us this week in trial week. We have connected with all of you more than ever before.  All families have made extraordinary efforts to engage their children in learning. Our teaching and support staff have ensured that no one has been left out., one hundred devices have been borrowed out to families, desks, learning packs and hopefully soon, some internet packs.

I am so very proud of our beautiful school and every member of our community. This week I have been privileged and humbled to see a whole new level of courage, passion, commitment and patience. Through it all was the application of new knowledge and new skills in our educators, support staff and families as together, with unwavering determination, we navigated a new territory. One we did not choose but one we chose to conquer. This week was the busiest week I ever remember not just for me, for all. So many supportive families and one very brilliant team of educators and support staff.

Travel gently as we approach our second week. Our short term online learning strategy will come to an end and our long term strategy will start to  step up. This might mean that we ask you to learn some new skills with us again. We know you will all rise to the challenge! See you all next Friday for our online assembly and celebration of Learning!

Just so you can all find your way back to us physically, we have designed some stepping stones of love to guide you in.

Thank you for your understanding, support  and words of encouragement over the past weeks. and through the holidays Have a wonderful weekend. As always go gently and if you have any feedback or ideas we always want to hear them.

God Bless,
