Nazareth Taster Day

On Nazareth taster day which is on March 2nd 2020 it was the grade 5’s only that we’re going to Nazareth College.

When I first arrived at the auditorium they had an assembly to tell us a little bit about the College itself.

We started the first activity by doing STEM. We had to figure out a code and then with the code solve a riddle. We also did a maths test that said: the girls don’t like soccer and all the boys hate basketball which one does Alex like.  I don’t really remember the question but then we built a Lego pinball machine. After that I went to dance and Andy went to art. At dance I had to do a dance that was pretty easy and I remembered the whole thing . They said I was really good at art. Andy made trash masks with feathers on the mask. They put other things like glue on it and It stuck. Then in food technology we made muffins. We used blue, green, orange and pink icing. I made an Oreo cupcake, Cookie Monster, valentines cupcake and sewerage cupcake.  Then Andy made some trash m and m monster and another with a strawberry on it. After, we went to the auditorium and people went to the stage and started dancing. It was pretty good! Then we left and went back to the bus. We had a great day!!

Nazareth Taster Day

On Monday the 2nd of March the grade 5’s went to Nazareth for a Taster day.

When we  first arrived we went to the auditorium and the coordinator of the event gave us Nazareth bags and told the grade 5’s that they would have a lot of fun.

The activities that I participated in were textiles which was okay, dance which was very energetic and cooking which I loved the most.

I liked cooking the best because we got to put icing on the cupcakes by ourselves and we were allowed to put on whatever toppings we liked. I put on a lot of chocolate hearts.

I also liked how we got to perform the dance we practiced at the end because our dance was funny and we got to do whatever pose we liked. I did a pose with Sheoli.

Nazareth Taster Day

On March 2nd, the grade 5’s travelled in a bus to Nazareth for a taster day.

When we got there we had a welcome assembly in the auditorium. My first activity was textiles then we had snacks. After that all the schools moved to their next activity. I did dance next and we learnt a new dance in less than an hour and performed in front of the teachers!

After the dance class we had lunch and did our last activity. I did woodwork last. It was my favourite activity there because we got to make wooden cars and race them down a ramp. My car won a race but I lost other races. It was still fun to go to Nazareth.

I also got to perform in front of the whole grade 5’s!
