These pictures show how L5/6 students used the garden for inspiration as well as for their art materials, to create images of nature. There can't be more difference between exploring the properties of ink and water, to creating images using plants themselves! Students discovered some very colourful drawing materials in the leaves and petals of flowers.

Level 3/4 have been using iPads. They have taken photographs of the school and are manipulating these to make the new school Postcards. They are learning about ways to communicate a message through graphic design. We will see these complete in Term 2.

Level 1/2 have had the experience of posting their portraits on Class Dojo. Parents will see their child's work alongside a description of the art work. You can talk with them about how they tried to draw their self portrait within their 'Happy Place'.

Foundation, ever exploratory, are about to complete their Easter Bonnets. Even without the parade this year, students will have a lot of fun wearing these over the holidays. This term has seen the children become very confident, chatty and active in the Art Room!

Enjoy the holidays everyone and looking forward to seeing you all next term!

From Ms Anisah

Artist in Schools

This year our school has Ms Anisah working as an Artist in Schools! She has been thinking about a few different areas in the school that could be updated. Beginning with Ms Rowley's idea for the Footprints at the entrance, you will begin to notice a few changes that different teachers, students and parents might suggest to her. Please let her know your thoughts as she will love to think about them with you.
