Stranger Danger

Dear parents,

Please take some time to speak to your child/children regarding stranger danger.  There have been (in the surrounding suburbs) some incidents of children being approached by unknown persons.

Calling all Carol Singers to the St Columba Christmas Eve Family Mass!

As Christmas time approaches, the Parish of Sacred Heart & St Columba are preparing once again for their big Christmas Eve Family mass, which will be preceded by carols! All budding carol singers, young or old, are invited to join, no experience required – just a love of carol singing at this special time.

Under the direction of our new youth minister and children’s singing teacher and accompanied by our parish music team,  it’s a wonderful opportunity to sing all your favourite and well-known carols.  Rehearsals for this choir will be at St Columba Church over the following Sundays: 1, 8, 15 and 22 December from 10.15 a.m. for about 60-90 mins. There will also be an extra rehearsal a week prior to Christmas Eve on Tuesday 17 December @ 7.30 p.m. after Graduation and whole school mass.

In addition, for the Christmas Eve Mass, we invite all children to dress up as a character from the Christmas story so as to really be part of this wonderful Christmas story! You might like to be Mary, Joseph, a shepherd, an angel, a king or even a sheep or donkey!!

Dress Ups

We are  making up a dress up box for the junior children to play with at lunchtimes.  If anyone has dress ups not being used we would appreciate the donation.

St Columba's Playgroup

Hi Parents, 

Our little playgroup has exciting news! We have been lucky enough to receive a Great Start Playgroup Grant from Playgroup Australia! That means some money towards new toys and the chance to work with a mentor to assist with making our playgroup even better!!!
