We have had another busy term! Here are some of the highlights.

Letter Writing

We have been writing letters to lots of different people. Some of the letters we wrote were to our pen pals. Our pen pals are from NSW, we had lots of fun finding out about them.

Maths – 2D and 3D shapes

In maths, we have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes. We explored different shapes around the room and labeled their edges, vertices and faces. We even used ‘Strawbees’ to make 3D shapes. 

Inquiry

This term in Inquiry we have been exploring how our choices influence our health. To start our inquiry off we participated in a body investigator incursion.

We learnt about how sugary drinks make the neurons in our brain go crazy, which means messages our brain sends around our body may not work. We also learnt about how our oxygen cells help to keep our brain working. Our red blood cells transport the oxygen cells around the body. Our white blood cells fight off germs and help us to not get sick. Finally, we learnt about how our digestive muscles work together to push food through our bodies.
