Principal's Report

Thank you and Farewell

Thank you to the wonderful Kalinda community for making it a fantastic year for all the students. A huge thank you goes to the Parents and Friends Association, School Council members, Graduation Committee, all parent volunteers, parents in general for getting involved in school activities and your child's learning, our amazing staff, our fantastic students and everyone who makes Kalinda tick. A special thanks goes to Ted, our amazing maintenance man. Without Ted everything would grind to a halt and start falling apart. Also a special thank you to our amazing crossing guard, Pete. Pete goes above and beyond in creating a fantastic community feeling at the school, his warmth and friendliness is so great at the start and the end of the day for families coming to and from school.

The end of the year is also a time for farewells. Farewell to our graduating year 6 students. The Graduation ceremony last night was a fantastic celebration of the time you have spent here. We wish you all the very best in the future.

Farewell also to families who have their last child graduating this year. We hope you have formed many life-long friendships during your time here and leave with great memories. I also would like to wish all other students and families who are leaving our school at the end of this year all the very best in the future.

We also have some staff members who we will be leaving us (some temporarily). You have all put your heart in to your work here at Kalinda and the contributions you have made, make this a better place.

Farewell to Frederick Lopez, Claire Pratt, Theresa Jarvis, Lucy Browne, Sandi Kelly, Katharine Price, Jayne Setford, Dee West and Karen Wilson.
