2022 Western Athletics Trials

The annual Boorowa Central School Athletics Carnival was held on Friday 17 June 2022 and was a resounding success. There was a fantastic level of participation and a wonderful display of Boorowa Central School spirit from all students at the carnival and those competing in the numerous track and field events. These students were able to gain points for their respective houses whilst competing for a spot in the secondary Boorowa Central School athletics team to trial at western.

17 students from our school have qualified for the Western Area secondary Athletic trials to be held in Week 3 of Term 3. Friday 5 August 2022 at Barden Park Dubbo. 

This is the largest team in many years to represent the school. Boorowa Central has a total of 47 individual entries and 3 relay teams.

Congratulations to every student who has qualified, and good luck to all who attend the Western secondary Athletics trials on Friday 5 August in Dubbo. 

2022 Western Cross Country Trials 

On Wednesday 15 June 2022, a team of 15 Boorowa Central school secondary students competed in the Western area Regional Cross Country trials around the racecourse in Geuri.

In sunny but cool weather conditions, students ran several varying distances depending on their age from 3 km to 7 km. 

The team members: Imogen Pye, Isabella Piper, Meghann Southwell , Tristen Pye, Kyle Pye, Trent Shean, Mylee Taylor, Hayden Croker, Max Galvin, Ashley Walsh, Kirsten Piper, Lara Taylor Xavier Roffey, Jordan Grimson. 

All students ran fantastic races, and the school is proud of their participation and efforts on the cross-country course. 

Six students from our school ran a sensational race and have qualified for the NSW All Schools State Cross Country championships competition in Week 1 of Term 3, Friday 22 July 2022 at Eastern Creek in Sydney.
