CAPAL
French
Year 7 French have had a busy term so far working hard on their collaborative skills. They have also been developing their creative thinking skills to produce a bilingual board game or card game that uses the language they have learnt so far this year. They have also enjoyed learning outside the classroom playing a traditional French hopscotch game called ‘Escargot’. They are currently learning about sports, hobbies and activities and are looking forward to playing Croquet and Pétanque at the end of the term.
Dance
Year 10 Dance have worked well this term to develop their performance and dance technique skills through the study of Jazz Dance. As part of their assessment task they performed “The Other Side” from the Greatest Showman. They are now busy working on their Site Specific Composition and look forward to their excursion to Newcastle in week 10 to film their compositions on site and watch a performance of Frozen Jnr The Musical.
Starstruck
This year we have 32 dancers participating in Starstruck during week 8. They have been working tirelessly throughout the term to learn and polish their dances ready for the big stage. We are all very proud of their efforts and the way they represent KKHS when outside the school and we wish them all the best for the real show.
