C4W Wagga Student Leaders Program

On Friday 24 of June, Ivan Sokolov, Elora Guirguis and Ellie Clarke graduated from the Committee 4 Wagga Student Leaders Program.  The graduation was a culmination of 8 modules that incorporated personal challenges and opportunities to work with professionals to develop their leadership skills including mental health and wellbeing, initiative, teamwork and respect.

Each of the 16 students in the program gave a speech that encapsulated their best experience of the Program.  The College is very proud of their achievements in the program and look forward to watching them become wonderful ambassadors for Wagga.

Congratulations on your graduation Elora, Ivan and Ellie.

Year 11 Senior Leadership Process Launch

Following a productive Reflection Day on Monday with Mr Chris Doyle from Karis Ministries, our Year 11 students gathered again in the Marian Centre the following morning for the launch of their leadership process.

Year 11 students were given some insight into the challenges and benefits of leadership. Our current Year 12 Captains were inspirational in speaking with House groups and answering all the questions Year 11 had about the application process and the roles and responsibilities of a captain.

Applications are now open for students to apply for both House and College Captain positions for 2023 and close on Monday, August 15 (Term 3, Week 5).

SkillUP Challenge for the Parent Partnership Program

Year 8 students had their second session on the SkillUP Challenge this week.  There was some amazing feedback about conversations Year 8’s were having at home with parents, and some quality ideas for new talents and skills that everyone has 7 more weeks to work on!

Our current skill is time management so Year 8 students took home a timetable to work on with parents as a way to plan ahead so that they feel organised and able to meet their goals over the next 7 weeks. Some of the skills selected by students and parents include sign language, learning guitar, cake decorating and archery!
