Meet Our College Captains
2022
Breanna Caples, Sports Captain, Cranbourne Campus
What do you see as your role as a leader?
As a leader, I see my role as one that provides those around me with a helping hand throughout their schooling journey. My role is to put others within our St. Peter’s College community before myself and develop the sporting aspects at our College. Although as a Sports Captain a lot of my focus revolves around this area, I will always ensure that what I do benefits the College as a whole.
What is one of the positives about being a student at St. Peter's College?
One of the positives about being a student at St. Peter’s College is that you will always have people around you to guide you, whether that's from other students, Tutor Group Learning Advisors or House Leaders.
Who is the one person you admire most and why?
I will say both of my parents. They have both been mentors for me growing up and they have always supported me through everything that I’ve done. They work so hard to provide the best for our family. They both demonstrate qualities that I admire, their optimistic values is just one of them.
What are your goals as Captain in 2022?
As the Sports Captain in 2022, I wish to be a role model for the students at St. Peters College and be someone that they can trust when guidance is needed. I aspire to bring a positive attitude through participation and variety at Sporting Carnivals and Competitions that are held each Term.

How will you live this statement through your leadership role?
As a Sports Captain, I wish to use this statement through my leadership role to educate my peers on the opportunities that are available throughout competitions that are held at our College. I wish to develop my leadership by undertaking more sessions with our younger students, developing their motor skills on a variety of different sports.
In one sentence what is the one thing that you would like to say to your fellow students?
Enjoy every moment of your high school journey and take every opportunity that you are presented with.
Matt Ludlow, Sports Captain, Cranbourne Campus
What do you see as your role as a leader?
I see it as a commitment to the students at St. Peter's College to faithfully represent them and their interests to the College. To achieve any and all changes to the College brought to me by the students that benefits the interests of the College community not just within sport but all aspects of the College. To follow in Jesus' teachings and serve those I lead through servant leadership.
What is one of the positives about being a student at St. Peter's College?
Since I first moved here in Year 9 (2019) the one thing that has been the utmost apparent to me is St. Peter’s College will return the effort you put in. What I mean by that is the opportunities presented to the students of St. Peter’s College are endless, the teachers at this school will work with you to accomplish just about anything as long as they can see they are not the only one putting effort in. Collaboration Is key. With this in mind your education level will directly relate to the amount of effort you put into it.
Who is the one person you admire most and why?
I’d have to say I admire both my parents. My mother and my father have demonstrated nothing but resilience and have taught me the true meaning of “Agape” which is one of the 7 original words used in the bible for love. Agape love is the love of others before oneself/sacrificial love. My father has shown me this through his work ethic in the NAVY as a Chaplain completing tours within the Golf, his participation within Afghanistan and having had to be away from his family so long to do so. His previous work running Christian churches as a Reverend and most importantly being a loving and caring father. My mother has shown this through her Pastor work as a Children's and Family Minister, case worker for the Salvation Army and taking on the extra workload of the needs of my three sisters and myself when my father has been doing his duty elsewhere. But again most importantly she has been a loving and caring mother. They have both accomplished feats in helping people and showing love to all they come across, which I can only learn from and hope that in all aspects of my life demonstrate their good teachings. As they have taught me I shall continue to show Agape and sacrifice and love others before myself.
What are your goals as Captain in 2022?
I would like to pave the path to returning St. Peter’s College to its former glory within sport. If you were to walk into the hall/hall foyer you would bare witness to the vast accomplishments and dominance of past students at the College.
I would also like to actualise and realize the change wanted by the students brought to me.
