BUILDING CHARACTER AND RESILIENCE

Responsibility

"You can't escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today." - Abraham Lincoln

Responsibility is having a sense of duty towards those around us, especially when we're in a position of leadership.  It means doing the right thing, even when it's not fun, cool or notices by anyone.  Responsibility also means being orderly and accountable, including sometimes accepting blame.  Ultimately, the readiness to take responsibility for others is a sign of true maturity.

Becoming a more responsible person will not only give you the inner peace of knowing that your're doing the right thing by others, but this character trait means that people will trust you with important things.  It will also bring stability to your life and build people's trust in you as a reliable person.
