Year 11
As part of the Year 11 Careers Program all Year 11 students will complete their Career Action Plan and meet with careers team to discuss their plans for post Year 12. This provides the students an opportunity to reflect on their aspirations and goals and to plan their pathways. The Careers team will meet one on one with the Year 11 students over the next few weeks.
Year 10
Work experience for Year 10 students will be held from Monday 24 June to Friday 28 June 2019. All Year 10 students should have secured a work experience placement by now. Supported work experience workshops will run during recess and lunchtime over the next few weeks to support students to secure work experience. Students are welcome to come to the Careers office to discuss work experience options.
Deakin University Excursion
On Monday 13 May the Year 10 students attended Deakin University and listened to a presentation about the different courses students could study, how the courses were made up of majors and minors and how the courses are made up of units.
The Year 10s were give a tour of Deakin University by Deakin University Ambassadors. The students found this very interesting.
Year 9
In Term 1, DET introduced a Career Program for all Year 9 students which is being rolled out across Victoria. The program includes a student career test and a 30 minute interview with a consultant to discuss the results of their career test.
The Year 9 students have already completed their Career Tests. The Morrisby Career Testing will be very useful for subject selection in term 3.
Student interviews will commence this Wednesday and will continue throughout the remainder of Term 2. Parents are very welcome to come to the interview with the Consultant and your child.
