Secondary Zone Touch Gala Day

The Secondary touch gala was on Tuesday 17 October in Newcastle. The teams were:

Open Boys: Connor Strickland, Dylan Paulson, John Gudgeon, Caleb Haynes, Jordan Reed, Matthew Young, Lachlan Parker, James Charlton, Samuel Lambert

U15 Boys: Harrison Reed, Benjamin Donellan, Andrew Young, Nathan Asmussen, Liam Bourne, Joshua Zasso, Zac Reeman, Alex Davy

Open Girls: Breanna Guymer, Imogen Zanardi, Iesha Gundy Clark, Kate Drury, Mollie Fitzgerald, Kiara Green, Chenoa Andrews, Lucy Lawson

U15 Girls: Lucy Connon, Isabella Coleman, Sharlet Dunkley, Kaylee Green, Mackenzie Stewart, Haddi Church, Grace Brkic, Savannah Lee Green, Ella Farland

All teams were very competitive, with the under 15 girls narrowly losing their grand final to Maitland Christian School. Under 15 boys lost 4-2 in their semi-final against the team that went on to win the day, achieving 3rd. The open girls team was mostly made up of junior girls, but they played incredibly well finishing 4th on the day. Senior boys, in a similar fashion, had a strong start to the day and ended up achieving 4th .

Thanks to Miss Rorison and Mrs Collier for coaching the teams and helping prepare the teams to play. Mr Donaldson came along as a referee too, his refereeing prowess was appreciated by all. Special Thankyou to Charli Farnell, Samuel Brisby and Kyesha Wilkinson for assisting Mr. Dawson in running the day. 

All students represented TCC very well and played with great sportsmanship and determination.
